 Medical Plan Updates: 8/1/2022

Cigna:

  • Cigna notified members that the national public health emergency (PHE) period has been extended to October 12, 2022.

 

UnitedHealthcare (UHC)

  • UHC reminded employees there will continue to be no cost share on COVID-19 vaccinations and on medically appropriate, FDA-authorized, COVID-19 testing through the end of the national PHE period, scheduled to end October 12, 2022. This includes in and out-of-network COVID-19 related telehealth visits.
  • UHC will also cover the new testing option (InspectIR COVID-19 Breathalyzer) at no cost share through the end of the national PHE period, when medically appropriate and ordered or reviewed by a physician, or appropriately licensed health care professional, to diagnose if the virus is present or to help in the treatment of the virus.
