Kaiser Permanente

  • Kaiser provided members with steps to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and healthy and how to stop the spread of COVID-19. Steps included:
    • Wearing a mask, which significantly reduces the risk of transmission and reminds you not to touch your face
    • Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
    • Staying 6 feet part, which is the surest way to protect yourself
    • Getting a flu shot, which protects those who may be at a higher risk of complications

 

UnitedHealthcare (UHC)

  • UHC is offering a new COVID-19 webinar briefing to address clinical insights, including the focus on testing and challenges of the current flu season; operational updates, including access to care and telehealth; and the latest trends in nationwide COVID-19 data. The webinar is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

 

Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem)

  • Anthem provided members a flyer noting the importance of receiving flu shots during the on-going pandemic. The flyer detailed the benefits of receiving a flu shot, including:
    • Lessening the impact from COVID-19. Becoming sick with the flu, can leave you vulnerable to a more serious case of COVID-19
    • Reducing the number of deaths, hospitalizations, and medical visits
    • Preventing complications in people with chronic conditions
    • Reducing your risk, by as much as 60%, of becoming ill with the flu
    • Protecting those around you who are at higher risk for illness
