Kaiser Permanente (Kaiser)

  • Kaiser has an upcoming webinar series (scheduled for December 16 from 10am to 11 am) to discuss the latest COVID-19 updates and trends, including treatment and testing; and emerging vaccine developments, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) review and distribution of recently approved COVID-19 vaccines

 

  • Kaiser provided ways of sharing moments while staying at home for the holidays. Ideas included:
    • Giving back
    • Celebrating virtually
    • Creating new traditions
    • Practicing self-care

 

  • To assist with coping with depression and loneliness during the holiday season, members can access findyourwords.org, a Kaiser resource designed to help build emotional well-being and resilience.

 

UnitedHealthCare (UHC)

  • UHC advised members that once FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines are available…
    • There will be no cost-share (copayment, coinsurance, or deductible) for both in- and out-of-network providers through the end of the national public health emergency period
    • Information on vaccine locations will be provided on uhc.com
    • Members designated as part of the first group to receive the vaccine can visit https://vaccinefinder.org/find-vaccine to find vaccine providers
    • Members can contact their primary care provider to better understand what vaccine is right for them, given their specific health conditions.

 

  • UHC has two upcoming webinar COVID-19 briefings (scheduled for December 9 and December 10, from 12pm to 1pm) to discuss updates in treatments/ vaccines and pending vaccine distribution; the most recent data, trends, and reporting related to COVID-19; and mental health wellness.

 

Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem)

  • Anthem provided recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on assisting with stress and anxiety. Mental health tips included:
    • Eating well
    • Exercising regularly
    • Meditating
    • Taking a break from screens and technology

 

  • Anthem provided creative ways for staying connected to loved ones during the holiday season. Ideas included:
    • Gathering virtually
    • Volunteering safely
    • Staying active
    • Creating new traditions
