SUPPLEMENTAL PAID SICK LEAVE
- Labor Code Section 248.6 was enacted on February 19, 2022, which provides County employees with COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (SPSL) benefits.
- Covered employees are entitled to up to 80 hours of COVID-19 related paid sick leave, with up to 40 of those hours available only when an employee or their covered family member tests positive for COVID-19; while employees will be required to attest to a COVID-19 positive test site, the County reserves the right to request documentation of a positive COVID-19 test.
