The Department of Human Resources (DHR) is proud to partner with the Department of Public Health (DPH) to support the health and well-being of our employees as the County prepares to resume regular operations by offering information about COVID-19 vaccines.

Vaccines by Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer are now widely available in Los Angeles County.  All three vaccines have been shown to be safe and effective at preventing infection with COVID-19 and preventing severe illness and death.

You can obtain the vaccine through your medical plans, pharmacies, and community-based organizations. Please visit the DPH’s website for a comprehensive list of vaccine locations.

The COVID-19 vaccine is free for anyone aged 12+. You do not need to show a government-issued ID and you do not need to be a US citizen to get a vaccine; immigration status and/or proof of insurance are not required.

Vaccination is a safe and effective way to reduce your risk of getting COVID-19 and to help stop the spread of the pandemic. Once you are fully vaccinated, you may feel safer to engage in activities you stopped because of the pandemic.  When you get vaccinated you protect yourself, your family, and your community.

We encourage you to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website  or the DPH’s website for additional information about COVID-19 vaccination.

For additional questions or concerns, we encourage you to:
