Disaster Service Worker Program

Protecting the public health and well-being of County residents is a top priority.  During emergency events, County employees may be called to act as Disaster Service Workers (DSW) to better meet the needs of the community and ensure the continuity of essential services.  Individuals are encouraged to review the DSW Pamphlet through the link below, to learn more about the role of County employees during emergencies and helpful preparedness tips for themselves and their families.

Additional information about County employees’ roles and responsibilities as DSWs can be found through the DSW Awareness Online Training, available to all employees through the Learning Net System.

Our Los Angeles County employees have always responded willingly to any emergency or disaster. On behalf of the Department of Human Resources, thank you to all our employees who work hard every day, blue skies and grey skies, to support the residents of Los Angeles County. Together we are building a stronger, safer, and more resilient community.
