WEB-BASED COURSES
EEO Unit offers multiple web-based courses available on the County’s Learning Management System (Talent Works) and includes over 3,000 courses licensed through Udemy. Courses vary by length and completion requirements e.g. mandatory or elective. UPCOMING TRAINING COURSES
RECOGNIZING MICROAGRESSIONS IN THE WORKPLACE (Webinar)
This course will teach Managers and Supervisors about microaggressions and how to ensure inclusive practices during recruiting and onboarding. The course focuses on the usage of inclusive language and the development of appropriate nonverbal communication.
SOGIE 101: (Web-Based Training)
Everyone has a SOGIE: a social identity framework comprising one’s sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to SOGIE concepts, learn about the needs of SOGIE-diverse clients, and review best practices to enhance your professional relationships with clients and peers who identify as LGBTQ+.
