37th Annual Volunteer of the Year Awards Luncheon
The Los Angeles County Volunteer Program encourages citizens, County employees and County retirees to volunteer their time and talents to public service programs (Board Policy 9.100).
Since the founding of this great nation, volunteers have strengthened communities by serving the needs of others, building bonds of trust among people and enhancing the future for our children. In 2018, more than 140,000 volunteers generously donated over 2.5 million hours at an estimated value of $62 million. County Volunteers contribute their time to a wide range services provided by County Departments, some of which include: hospitals, health centers, animal shelters, libraries, and parks.
