WAYS TO HELP > EMPLOYEE HOUSE SHARE

The devastation resulting from the recent wildfires has left a growing number of individuals without a place to live or store their few remaining belongings. Among the individuals impacted by the fires are our own Los Angeles County (LAC) employees. To assist LAC employees exclusively, the County has developed and launched the LAC Employee House Share application (app). The platform is designed to connect County employees directly impacted by the wildfires with fellow County employees who wish to voluntarily share, offer, or donate housing or storage space. This app is for County employees only and serves to provide meaningful assistance to those who have suffered tremendous losses in recent weeks.

It is imperative that all employees who access and utilize this app understand that the purpose of this app is to provide a platform for this exchange. The misuse of this app for exploitative purposes, illicit personal gain, fraud, or anything other than the sole humanitarian purpose articulated above is strictly prohibited.

How to Access the App

The app can be accessed by County employees through the County network on the MYLACOUNTY website at https://mylacounty.gov and requires the employee to right-click on the “Learn More” button under the “LAC Employee House Share” icon on the left side of this landing page. Employees may also access the app directly by logging onto https://houseshare.lacounty.gov/.

In addition to the Employee House Share app, County employees in need of housing and housing-related support can visit the “Housing Support” page to the left for a list of additional resources.

DISCLAIMER

The County of Los Angeles assumes no responsibility or liability for any claims or damages arising from the voluntary use of the LAC Employee House Share app or other resources listed here. All usage or participation is voluntary and at the sole and independent discretion of the individuals involved. See the County’s full disclaimer on the log-in page of the app.
